About this policy

This product-specific Privacy Policy describes how Brand Voice Generator (at brandvoice.genaiunplugged.com) handles your data. It is supplemental to the GenAI Unplugged Privacy Policy (the “Master Privacy Policy”), which covers broader company-wide practices, your privacy rights (including CCPA and GDPR), and contact information for data-subject requests. In the event of any conflict, the Master Privacy Policy controls.

Data controller

GENAI UNPLUGGED LLC (Pennsylvania, USA) is the sole data controller for Brand Voice Generator. CoWrite with AI is a distribution partner and a named third-party recipient for newsletter enrollment only (see “Distribution partner data flow” below); they are not a joint controller of the tool or its data.

What we collect

Email address — required on the form, used to deliver your generated profile and to enroll you in the newsletters described below.
Brand name and other form fields — used as prompt input to generate your brand voice profile.
Website URL (optional) — if provided, the URL is sent to Jina AI to fetch publicly available page content for context.
Session cookie — a single essential cookie named bv_session is set after you submit the form to let you re-access your generated output. See “Cookies” below.

How we use it

To generate your brand voice profile and starter content (Google Gemini).
To fetch and analyze publicly available content from a URL you provide (Jina AI).
To deliver the generated output to you by email (Amazon SES).
To enroll your email in the GenAI Unplugged Substack newsletter and the CoWrite with AI Substack newsletter. You consent to both enrollments by submitting the form and can unsubscribe from either at any time using the link in any email.
To operate, secure, and debug the service (Vercel hosting logs).

Each provider processes data under its own privacy terms. CoWrite with AI's privacy policy is available at cowritewithai.com/privacy.

Distribution partner data flow

When you submit the form, your email is shared with CoWrite with AI solely for the purpose of enrolling you in their Substack newsletter. CoWrite with AI does not receive your brand name, URL, scraped content, or generated profile, and is not involved in operating the tool. You consent to this enrollment by submitting the form; you can unsubscribe from the CoWrite with AI list at any time via the link in any email they send.

Retention

Form inputs (brand name, URL, answers): processed in memory during generation and not persisted in a product database.
Scraped URL content: not persisted after generation.
Generated profile: delivered by email; not persisted on our servers after the session ends, though a copy remains in your email inbox and in Amazon SES delivery logs for up to 30 days.
Email address on newsletter lists: retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
Session cookie (bv_session): expires 30 days after issue.
Operational logs (Vercel, SES):retained per each provider's default (typically up to 30 days).

Cookies

We set a single essential cookie, bv_session, which is HTTP-only, Secure in production, SameSite=Lax, and expires 30 days after issue. It is required to re-access your generated output and is not used for tracking, analytics, or advertising. No consent banner is shown because the cookie is strictly necessary for the tool to function.

International transfers

The tool is hosted in US regions (Vercel). Third-party processors (Google, AWS, Jina AI, Substack) may process data in other jurisdictions per their own terms. See the Master Privacy Policy for the company-wide transfer position.

Your rights

Your data-subject rights (access, correction, deletion, opt-out, portability, and regional rights under CCPA and GDPR) are described in the Master Privacy Policy. For this tool specifically, you can:

Unsubscribe from either newsletter via the link in any email.
Clear the bv_session cookie from your browser at any time.
Request deletion of your email address from our records by emailing support@genaiunplugged.com.

Conflict with Master Privacy Policy

Nothing in this product Privacy Policy expands, reduces, or overrides the Master Privacy Policy. If a provision here conflicts with the Master Privacy Policy, the Master Privacy Policy controls.

Changes

We may update this policy as the tool evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page.
